New Forest Agricultural show: Wet, but my Birthday presents sorted .

Getting up at the crack of dawn seems to have become a regular occurrence in our household. The alarm was set for four o’clock to help Gillies transport load their horses, before we left for the New Forest show. The forecast for a very wet day, so we were well prepared with our wet weather gear. So even the rain couldn’t dampen my spirits. Snelsmore Spectre started our damp day off with a win in the two & three-year-old class. I soon followed with a second win with Snelsmore Lalique. The weather showed very little improvement for the last of our three ponies, poor Merrylees Nuggett and Cliff finished soaked and with a second place. Not deterred by the weather Spectre went on to become Junior Miniature Champion, and Lalique and myself were Mrs Patterson’s Miniature Champions. Typical, of course no sooner had we finishes the clouds clear for a much brighter day, so with my birthday fast approaching a bit of birthday shopping, well more like birthday present hints for Cliff seemed the good idea.
